Miller attended TLU in 1947 where he lettered in football, basketball and track.  He was the head baseball and tennis coach from 1951-53, and an assistant football and basketball coach from 1949-1953.  He served as the Dean of Men from 1952-53.  “Red” was a successful coach and administrator in the La Grange Independent School District for 27 years and retired in 1986.
