Dennette Wright was a winner from the start of her Texas Lutheran volleyball career.  As a freshman, she moved into the starting lineup midway through her first year and remained a starter for the rest of Bulldog career.  In her four years, the Bulldogs won 157 matches and lost only 54.  In 1980, TLU went 55-12 and captured fourth place in the AIAW Division II National Tournament.  Wright was named to the All-Tournament Team at the national championships.
