Texas Lutheran University

A 1961 graduate, Holmstrom was a starter for four years in baseball and basketball.  He was the leading scorer in basketball for three years, and earned All-Lutheran and All-Conference honors.  He is the record holder for runs batted in in baseball and was an All-Conference selection.  David played for two years in the New York Yankees organization.
