A Clifton College 1925 class member, Harris was known for his prowess in football, basketball, baseball and track.  He continued a successful athletic career in football at North Texas State, where he graduated in 1927.  He dedicated his life to education, business, youth activities, and his church.  Harris died on July 15, 1979.
