A product of Seguin High School, Szymanski made an immediate impact for the TLU women’s volleyball program.  Szymanksi lettered all four years and was a major factor in the Bulldogs 114-50 overall record over that time.  The Bulldogs were a combined 75-17 in her junior and senior seasons.  Jessica was a member of two Heart of Texas Conference Championship squads and was a three-time All-HOTC First Team Selection.  She was an NAIA Second Team All-American in 1994 and the 1991 HOTC Freshman of the Year.  She helped the Bulldogs to a 9^th place finish at the NAIA National Tournament.  To this day, Szymanski is the TLU career leader in total games played (517) and total blocks (615).
