IRVING, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened their spring 2026 slate at the Crusader Cup at Hackberry Creek CC in Irving on Monday.
Sophomore Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs shooting seven-over (79), finishing in fourth place through the opening 18 holes. Asbury trails by four strokes.
Lillian Niemeyer (Conroe/Conroe) entered the clubhouse tied for 30th place at 24-over par while Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) is tied for 36th after an opening round score of 98 (+26). Shayla Hunyh (Grand Rapids, MI/Steele) sits in 45th place at 48-over.
As a team, Texas Lutheran is in eighth place through the opening 18 holes with a score of 105-over (393). Our Lady of the Lake leads through the first day with a score of 40-over 328.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 8 AM.
