BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Texas Lutheran women's golf team wrapped the 2026 Hal Sutton Invitational at The Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, Louisiana, on Tuesday.
As a team, Texas Lutheran finished seventh combining for a score of 794 (+218) over 36 holes.
Sophomore Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs on day two with an 84 (+12) in the final round Tuesday. Asbury finished the tournament in 13th place (+28). This is the first time this season Asbury has not finished in the top ten. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) cut her opening round score by over half to finish round two 15-over to close the tournament in 31st place at 50-over.
Lillian Niemeyer (Conroe/Conroe) finished 27th with a score of 43-over while Shayla Huynh (Grand Rapids, MI/Steele) finished 38th at 97-over.
Texas Lutheran returns to action next month at the Sea Gull Invitational hosted by Salisbury University in Quantico, Maryland, April 11-12.
