SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran volleyball senior outside hitter Ryann Ely (Montgomery/Concordia Lutheran) and senior libero Richelle Guerra (Brownsville/Rivera) were named to the SCAC all-conference second team and sophomore Briana Salvatierra-Moore (San Antonio/Antonian College Prep) earned honorable mention honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.

While Ely earns her first All-SCAC Second Team honor, it is her second All-SCAC honor after earning honorable mention recognition last season. Guerra and Salvatierra-Moore each received their first all-conference awards.

Ely led the Bulldogs with 237 kills and 277 points (2.92 pps). She ranked ninth in the SCAC in total attacks 795 (8.37 attacks/set). Ely set career marks in almost every statistical category in her final season.

Guerra ranked third in the conference in digs with 515 (5.48 digs/ set, second) and finished with 22 service aces and a career-high 114 assists. She started every match and earned SCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors in late September. She reached double-digit digs in 25 of 26 matches played this season. Guerra passed 1,000 career digs during the final matches of the season to end her career with 1,054. Guerra ends her career with an average of 3.98 digs per set to rank seventh in program history.

Salvatierra-Moore started every match for the Bulldogs in her sophomore season and led the Bulldogs in blocks with 81 on the season. She ranks second in the SCAC in blocks and fourth in blocks per set (0.85). She had nine or blocks in a match twice this season. She recorded 12 matches with double-digit points. Salvatierra-Moore averaged 2.3 points per set and 1.59 kills per set.

The Bulldogs finished the season with an 11-15 overall record , going 8-8 in the SCAC to claim fourth place in their division in the regular season.
