SEGUIN, Texas -- #RV Texas Lutheran men's soccer was placed second in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) preseason poll, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Decided by the league's ten head coaches, the Bulldogs received a trio of first place votes with 91 points. Returning SCAC regular season champion Colorado College topped the league with seven first-place votes and 97 points. Concordia (TX) (75), St. Thomas (61), and Austin College/LeTourneau (54) rounded out the top five.

All-Region sophomores Jesus Carrillo (San Antonio/Reagan) and Ernesto Avila (Houston/Humble) headlining a Bulldogs group that made the deepest run into the NCAA Tournament in program history a season ago.

TLU will host two remaining preseason exhibitions against Huston-Tillotson (Aug. 20) and Our Lady of the Lake (Aug. 25), before kicking off the regular season on the road at rival, #2 Trinity, last season's national runner-up, at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 1.
