SEGUIN, Texas -- Five members of the Texas Lutheran men's soccer team have been named All-West Region (Region X) by United Soccer Coaches.
Freshman defender
Alex Hart (Missouri City/Ridge Point) earned a spot on the First Team, while senior midfielder
Evan Bremauntz (Grapevine/Colleyville Heritage) and freshman forward
Jesus Carrillo (San Antonio/Reagan) were named to the Second Team and freshman goalkeeper
Ernesto Avila (Houston/Humble) and senior midfielder
Carlos Longoria (Brownsville/Rivera) were named to the Third Team. The five honorees are the most in a single-season in program history. It is the first All-Region selection for all five Bulldogs.
Hart was named All-SCAC First Team and SCAC Tournament Defensive MVP in his freshman season leading a strong Bulldogs defense and adding one assist on the year. Hart started 20 games as a freshman, anchoring a back line that produced ten shutouts, matching the program record for a single-season, and allowed 9.9 shots per game. Hart led all field players with 1,711 minutes played this season.
Bremauntz started 19 games in the midfield for Texas Lutheran this season and was named to All-SCAC First Team for the first time in 2025. Bremauntz had a career year with three goals and two assists in his senior season.
Carrillo tallied a team-high eight goals this season and was named to the All-SCAC Second Team and All-SCAC Freshman Team. Carrillo scored three goals in the postseason including two in the NCAA Tournament first round to secure the Bulldogs first NCAA Tournament win in program history. Carrillo also dished out three assists.
Avila made 21 starts for the Bulldogs in goal this season, going 13-5-3 on the year. He collected ten shutouts, a new program record, while allowing just 0.82 goals per game. He made 74Â saves en route to being named to the All-SCAC Second Team.
Longoria started all 21 games for Texas Lutheran in the midfield and was named All-SCAC Honorable Mention and SCAC Tournament Offensive MVP in 2025. Longoria scored the game winner in the 2025 SCAC Championship game to secure the Bulldogs second SCAC Championship.
