SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran baseball's
Adam Peavy (Houston/Memorial) has been named one of five finalists for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Man of the Year award.
The award recognizes the conference's senior male student-athlete who has best distinguished himself throughout his collegiate career in the areas of academic achievement, athletic excellence and service and leadership. Past Winners
Member schools were permitted to submit two nominations if at least one of the nominees was a man of color or international student-athlete.
To be nominated, student-athletes must have completed intercollegiate eligibility in his primary sport by the end of the 2026 spring season, received his undergraduate degree prior to the conclusion of the summer 2026 term and had a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 2.500 (4.000 scale).
Peavy graduated this spring with a bachelor's degree in Business Finance and a 3.44 GPA. Peavy closed out his career with a career year en route to being named 2026 SCAC Player of the Year as well as earning All-Region honors from D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Peavy finished his senior season with a .439/.587/.719 slash line - leading the SCAC in all three categories (batting average/on-base percentage/slugging percentage). Peavy's .587 on-base percentage finished third nationally across all of Division-III. Peavy was the only player to be named SCAC Hitter of the Week twice this season, finishing in the top ten in the SCAC in numerous offensive categories. On the year, he turned in 20 multi-hit efforts along with 11 games with multiple runs driven in. Peavy leaves Seguin with the second highest batting average in program history for a four-year player (.376). Peavy was also the 2026 TLU Baseball Mark Love Award winner - awarded to the player who demonstrates team leadership, charm, resilience and dependability.
Peavy is a four-time All-Region honoree and three-time All-SCAC honoree in his career. Peavy represented the conference and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at the 2026 NCAA Convention and in 2025, he was recognized by the SCAC for his work at Laity Lodge Youth Camp in Leakey, Texas, as well as his community service efforts as a member of the TLU Baseball team.
The 2026Â Southern Collegiate Athletic Man of the Year will be announced later this month.
