LA CROSSE, WI -- Sophomore
Amir McClain (Converse/Veterans Memorial) earned First Team All-America honors on Saturday in the final day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division-III Track and Field Championships at Veteran's Memorial Field Sports Complex on the campus of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wisconsin. All nine of the Bulldogs qualifiers would earn All-America honors on the weekend to become the most successful NCAA Championship appearance in program history.
McClain finished 5
th in the men's triple jump with a distance of 15.08m (49' 5.75"), his second best jump this season. McClain is the first All-American in the men's triple jump in program history.
McClain jumped his personal best distance of 15.18m (49' 9.75") at the 2026 SCAC Championships win the event and set a new program and conference record in the process.
After the conclusion of the week's events, Texas Lutheran finished tied for 46th with four team points.
