He is Texas Lutheran's all-time leader in the event. He owns the top three marks in program history and will compete in the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the first time.
• Parker Cabra (Schertz/Randolph) ranks ninth nationally in the high jump and first in the SCAC with a jump of 2.09m (6' 10.25"). The mark, achieved at the 2026 SCAC Championships, was just short of the conference championship meet record of 6' 10 3/4" - placing him second on the league's all-time performance list.
• Braylen Brown (San Antonio/Randolph) is ranked at No. 20 in the nation in the 400-meter with a time of 47.22, accomplished at the Trinity Last Chance Meet. The sophomore returns to the National Championships after earning All-America status in the 400m last season as a freshman. Brown repeated as SCAC Champion in the 400m dash in April with a time of 47.35 seconds.
• The men's 4x100-meter relay of Rickey Franks (Rockport/Rockport-Fulton), Eden Perez(Hebbronville/Hebbronville), Tavion Parrish (Kyle/Johnson), and Hezekiah McDow (Goliad/Weiss) ranks No. 15 nationally and first in the SCAC with a time of 40.74 seconds, one of the fastest times in program history. Franks returns to the NCAA Championships after competing at the NCAA Championships in the 4x100 as a sophomore, finishing 15th at the championships. The squad won the event at the 2026 SCAC Championships with a time of 40.80 seconds, matching the meet record set by McMurry (40.8) just last year.
• Previously christened the "Freshman Four," the men's 4x400-meter relay of sophomores Brown, Perez, Caden Keller (McAllen/McAllen) and Gavino Ramirez (Alice/Alice) ranks No. 23 nationally and No. 1 in the SCAC with a time of 3:12.07, the fastest mark in program history set at the 2026 Trinity Last Chance Meet. The team successfully defended their 4x400m relay championship at the SCAC Championships in record breaking fashion, clocking in at 3:13.77, besting their record time (3:14.68) from last season.
