SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's track and field program swept Tuesday evening's conference honors, the conference announced - sweeping the sixth week of the weekly awards for the 2026 season.

The Texas Lutheran 4x100m relay team comprised of Rickey Franks (Rockport/Rockport-Fulton), Hezekiah McDow (Goliad/Weiss), Eden Perez (Hebbronville/Hebbronville), and Tavion Parrish (Kyle/Johnson) were named the SCAC Track Athletes of the Week after winning the 4x100m relay at the J.G. Gonzales Memorial Invitational. The team won the event with a time of 40.74, a time that ranks first nationally and narrowly missed out on setting a new program record.

Amir McClain (Converse/Veterans Memorial) would be named SCAC Field Athlete of the Week after a strong performance in San Antonio. McClain climbed the national leaderboard to briefly become the new leader in Division-III in the triple jump but now ranks second in Division-III with an event winning mark of 14.91m (48' 11"). The sophomore has won the triple jump in every meet he's competed in so far this season and raised his program record in the event in the process.

McClain narrowly missed winning the long jump as well, finishing second in the event with a mark of 7.10m (23' 3.5"). McClain also ranks nationally in the long jump, ranking third in the event after his performance on Friday.

The weekly honors are the second in both McClain and McDow's careers while it was the first for Franks, Perez, and Parrish.

Texas Lutheran will travel to Abilene, the site of the 2026 SCAC Championships, for the War Hawk Classic hosted by McMurry University next week starting on Friday, April 10.
