WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas -- After a multi-hour rain delay, Texas Lutheran women's golf finished play at the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship Tournament at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas with a shortened, nine-hole final round on Tuesday.
For the final time this season, the Bulldogs were led by sophomore
Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport), who finished tied for seventh after a seven-over final round that saw her finish the condensed 45-hole tournament 19-over par. The 19-over par finish is a 30-stroke improvement over her SCAC Championship performance as a freshman. The top ten performance was Asbury's seventh in eight tournaments over the course of the 2025-26 season, earning her All-SCAC Second Team honors. Asbury is the first All-SCAC honoree for Texas Lutheran women's golf since Summer Swift's All-SCAC First Team honors in 2019.
Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) shot nine-over par to rise one spot on the leaderboard, finishing 46-over to end the tournament in 32nd while freshman
Lillian Niemeyer (Conroe/Conroe) finished tied for 29th in her first SCAC Championship appearance, carding ten-over in the final round to end her tournament run at 42-over.
SCAC newcomers LeTourneau won the individual and team championships, with the 39th ranked YellowJackets finishins 54-over par.
