Box Score ALPINE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team swept Division-II Sul Ross State for the second time this weekend Saturday morning in Alpine. The win marks the 17th straight victory over the Lobos dating back to 2012.
Texas Lutheran swept in both doubles and singles competition.
Texas Lutheran won the doubles point by default as the Lobos only had two active athletes on Saturday. The team of Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) won the lone doubles match played on Saturday by the score of 6-1.
TLU automatically won four points in singles competition by default. Jackson Leslie (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) won his match 7-6, 6-1 and Vince Carney (Austin/McCallum) won in No. 2 singles 4-6, 6-1, 10-8.
The Bulldogs return to Seguin and to SCAC play on Saturday, March 14, at 10 AM as they welcome the Colorado College Tigers to the ORTC.
