ABILENE, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team opened up at the 2026 ITA Southwest Regional Championships with singles and doubles action on Thursday at the Streich Tennis Center on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University.
After losing his opening round match in the A Draw,
Ajonte St. Ville (St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda/AESA Prep International (TX)) advanced to the third round of the consolation bracket following an East Texas Baptist injury in the first round.
Barrett Spaar (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley) won his opening match in the C Draw, 6-1, 6-1 to advance within that bracket on Thursday.
In doubles, Texas Lutheran lost their lone match in the championship draw, but the team of Spaar and
Vincent Carney (Austin/McCallum) advanced in the B Flight, 8-7.
The ITA Southwest Regional Championships continue through Sunday with the Bulldogs competing in singles and doubles competition. Live stats are available here.
