SEGUIN, Texas --  The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team picked up a critical conference win on Friday with a 6-1 result over McMurry at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.

With the win, the Bulldogs keep their SCAC Tournament hopes alive as they will have to win out to make the SCAC Tournament.

After losing No. 1 doubles, Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) and Barrett Spaar (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley) took the No. 3 doubles match with a 6-2 score. With their backs against the wall and the fate of the doubles point on the line, the team of Ajonte St. Ville (St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda/AESA Prep International (TX)) and Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) rallied to win their match 7-6 to secure the doubles point and swing the momentum in the Bulldogs favor.

After a nearly hour long lightning delay, the Bulldogs would win all five singles matches that finished on Friday.

Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels), St. Ville, Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels), Randall, and Jackson Leslie (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) would all win their matches in straight sets.

Up next, Texas Lutheran faces Schreiner in their final home contest of the 2026 season at the Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center on Saturday, April 11th. First serve is set for 11 AM. Texas Lutheran will honor seniors Cash Herrera, Jackson Leslie, Eric Moninger, and Logan Randall prior to Saturday's match.
