SEGUIN, Texas -- For the first time this season, junior Madison Wright (San Antonio/Lee) has earned the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Field Athlete of the Week honor, the conference office announced on Tuesday. The honor is the first of Wright's career.

The San Antonio native finished tenth overall and second amongst Division-III throwers in the discus throw with a mark of 36.72m (120' 6") and added a seventh place finish in the javelin throw with a mark of 32.23m (105' 9"). 

This outdoor season, the Black and Gold have won two weekly honors - both coming in the last two weeks  - with Laura Sierra earning Field Athlete of the Week honors last week.

Texas Lutheran returns to action in San Antonio for the Trinity Invitational starting on Friday, April 3.
