MOORPARK, CA -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team sits in fourth place after day one of the Kingsmen Invitational hosted by Cal Lutheran University at Moorpark CC.
The Bulldogs shot a team score of 301 (+13) after the opening 18 holes in California. No. 24 Pomona-Pitzer currently sits in first place with a team score of 290 (+2).
Senior Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) leads the lineup thus far at even par (72) through 18 holes to sit in fifth place. Miller birded four holes on Monday and trails by seven strokes entering Tuesday's final day of competition. Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) joined Miller in the top ten, finishing one stroke behind him at one-over to sit in a tie for sixth place.
Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) is in 22nd place with a score of five-over (77) while Octavio Cantu (Mission/Sharyland) is in a tie for 29th (+7) while Shea Eason (Round Rock/Round Rock) rounds out the TLU lineup at eight-over to tie for 34th.
