SEGUIN, Texas -- After leading the No. 16 Texas Lutheran baseball team to a 13-4 win at home against Ozarks (AR), Bulldogs right-hander Isaiah Ramirez (San Antonio/Marshall) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Pitcher of the Week.

Ramirez is the TLU pitcher to earn the honor in 2026 and third Bulldog overall to earn a SCAC weekly honor this season.

Ramirez tossed 6.1 no-hit and scoreless innings in relief on Friday evening at Katt-Isbel as the Bulldogs took the series opener from the Eagles 13-4. The sophomore set a new career-high with six strikeouts. In six appearances this season, Ramirez has a 3-1 record with a 1.99 ERA, ranking third in the SCAC. 

The Bulldogs will look for their sixth straight victory on Tuesday, as TLU travels to San Antonio for a rematch against the rival, No. 9 Trinity Tigers.
