Box Score SEGUIN, Texas -- After two weeks off the court, Texas Lutheran men's tennis returned to the court with a 7-0 sweep of Howard Payne Friday afternoon at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
Texas Lutheran swept in both doubles and singles competition.
The teams of Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels), Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) and Ajonte St. Ville (St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda/AESA Prep International (TX), and Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) and Barrett Spaar (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley) all won by the score 6-1 in their respective matches.
In singles, St. Ville, Moninger, Sullins, and Spaar won their matches in straight sets. In the top flight, Cash Herrera rallied to win 5-7, 6-1, 10-8 while Logan Randall won rallied to win his as well, 0-6, 7-5, 10-5.
Texas Lutheran will travel to Alpine, Texas, to face Division-II Sul Ross State on Friday, March 6 in the first of two matches against the Lobos next weekend. First serve is scheduled for 2 PM.
