Track and Field Places Eight on CSC Academic All-District Teams

SEGUIN, Texas -- Eight student-athletes on the Texas Lutheran track and field team have been named Academic All-District selections, the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formerly known as CoSIDA, announced on Tuesday.

The quartet of Katie Kostelnik (Hallettsville/Sacred Heart Catholic), Taylor Norrell (Lake Jackson/Brazosport), Emagen Styra (Nordheim/Nordheim), and Madison Wright (San Antonio/Lee) all earned the honors for women's track and field with Norrell being the only Bulldog with previous Academic All-District honors after earning the honors the previous two seasons.

Norrell earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors after her program record breaking performance in the 60m hurdles during the indoor season as she becomes a three-time Academic All-District honoree. Kostelnik, who earned a bronze medal in the 400m dash at the 2025 SCAC Championships, was a top 25 performer in the region in the 400m dash as well as both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays. Styra finished in the top 50 in the region in the shotput and javelin while Madison Wright finished in the top 50 in the region in javelin, shot put, and discus.

Cutter Clancy (Stockdale/Stockdale), Weston Guzman (McAllen/McAllen), Garrett Haass (La Vernia/La Vernia), and Shayne Moss (San Marcos/San Marcos) all earned the honors for men's track and field with Guzman being the only Bulldog with previous Academic All-District honors after earning the honors last season.

Moss earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors in May in the long jump during outdoor season while Haass earned All-Region honors from indoor season in the 60m hurdles. Guzman earns his second All-District honor after finishing in the top 10 in the West Region in the 100m dash while Cutter Clancy earns his first honor for his performance in the javelin throw.

The 2025 Academic All-District® Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
