TLU Track and Field Announces 2026 Schedule

SEGUIN, Texas -- The TLU track and field team released their indoor and outdoor schedule for the 2026 season on Monday. The Bulldogs return to the track with head coach Ron McCown entering his third year at the helm of the program. The team will look to build on the two All-American performances from last season.

The Bulldogs will kick off the indoor season on Jan. 24 at the FasTrak Invite in Houston. At last year's Collegiate Challenge, the Bulldogs broke the men's program record for the 3000m run for the second straight season.

Two weeks later, the Bulldogs will return to Houston for another FasTrak Invite on the campus of University of Houston on Feb. 7.

To start the back half of their indoor season, the Bulldogs will compete in the Jarvis Scott Open hosted by Texas Tech on Feb. 13 and 14. To close out the indoor season, the team will look to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Championships starting Mar. 13 in Birmingham, Alabama.

Transitioning to outdoor season, the Bulldogs will travel to Southwestern for the CenTex Invite in Georgetown to open the outdoor season on Mar. 7. Last year, TLU shined in the meet, winning seven events and breaking three school records.

The Bulldogs will host the TLU Invite on Mar. 20 and 21 at Bulldog Stadium. The Bulldogs won seven events at the previously named D3 Challenge last season. The following week the Bulldogs will split up to compete at the David Noble Relays hosted by Angelo State in San Angelo while the TLU Distance runners will compete at the Charles Austin Classic hosted by Texas State in San Marcos Mar. 27 and 28.

Heading into April, the Bulldogs will travel to San Antonio to compete in the Trinity Invite on Apr. 3 and 4. TLU will travel to Abilene the following week to compete in the War Hawk Classic for their final regular season competition.

The SCAC Track and Field Championships will take place in Abilene from April 24-26. Last year, the men's team finished fourth at the SCAC Championships while the women's team placed fifth.

The Bulldogs will compete in the Trinity Last Chance Meet (May 10) and the Midwest Twilight Last Chance (May 13-14) hosted by Augustana University in Rock Island, Illinois in preparation for the NCAA Track and Field Championships. The 2026 NCAA Track and Field Championships will take place in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on May 21-23. The Bulldogs left with two All-Americans following last year's NCAA Track and Field championships.
