SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's basketball program released their complete 2025-26 schedule on Thursday.
Texas Lutheran will take on three teams that appeared in the 2025 NCAA Tournament and two teams (McMurry and Colorado College) who received votes in the final Top 25 poll.
The Bulldogs will open the 2025-26 slate on Friday. Nov. 7 with a road game against Hardin-Simmons and follow up with a road game at Howard Payne on Nov. 8.
The Bulldogs will travel to California Nov. 14-17 for the first time in over a decade as Texas Lutheran will take on Caltech (Nov. 14), Cal Lutheran (Nov. 15), and Occidental (Nov. 17) on the trip.
After a road game against Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton (Nov. 30), Texas Lutheran will open their reduced home slate with a home game against the Hardin-Simmons Cowgirls on Dec. 1. The Bulldogs will travel to San Antonio to take on former SCAC rival Trinity on Dec. 5 before wrapping up non-conference play with a home matchup against UMHB (Dec. 10).
The SCAC schedule gets underway on Dec. 19 at Concordia (TX), with the SCAC home opener on Jan. 5 against the Tornados. The SCAC schedule consists of a double round robin of home and away games within their division (10 games) with single round robin games against the opposing division that will be played at home or away (6 games). After sharing the SCAC Gold Division championship last season, the Bulldogs will face St. Thomas, Colorado College, Schreiner, McMurry, and Concordia (TX) in divisional games following conference realignment.
The 2026 SCAC Tournament will be hosted by Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Feb. 27-Mar. 1, for the first time since 2009 as the Warriors make their return to the conference.
Texas Lutheran is coming off the best season in program history, finishing the 2024-25 season with a 24-5 (.828) overall record which included a 14-2 SCAC mark, the most wins since joining the conference in 2013-14, a SCAC Gold Division Co-Championship, winning the 2025 SCAC Tournament, and picked up the first NCAA Tournament win in program history. The Bulldogs boast a roster that features 11 returners from a season ago while adding two freshmen and two transfers to the talented roster. TLU also welcomes the return of
Hannah Gallegos (San Antonio/Harlan) and former two-time All-SCAC honoree,
Davi'Yanna Jones (San Antonio/Stevens), who missed all of last season with knee injuries, as well as 2024 All-SCAC honoree,
Kayla Presley (Kyle/San Marcos), who missed all but six games last season due to her own knee injury and will now suit up for her redshirt senior season. The Bulldogs return four out of their five All-SCAC honorees from last season in
Lauren Sansano (San Antonio/FEAST),
Sarahi Jones (Los Fresnos/Los Fresnos),
Angelina Sotelo (San Marcos/San Marcos), and
Zaria Solis (Burnet/Burnet).
