Logan Randall named SCAC Character & Community Male Student Athlete of the Week

SEGUIN, Texas -- Logan Randall, a senior on the Texas Lutheran men's tennis team, has been selected as the SCAC Character and Community Male Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning with October 6th.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Randall played a pivotal role in Texas Lutheran's men's tennis best season in nearly a decade last spring.

While Randall has been a leader for the tennis program on the court under head coach David Mueller, he has utilized his time on campus to also integrate himself within the campus community to be heavily involved on campus in various roles that have allowed him a number of opportunities to be involved in service projects on and off campus. Randall is the President of the Pi Rho Chemistry Club, a senator in the Student Government Association, secretary for the S.A.F.E. Club and a member of Texas Lutheran's distinguished Black & Gold President's Council.

Through these different clubs, he's been able to play an instrumental role in the President's Council Christmas donation last year and spearheading Pi Rho's Highway clean up.

When asked what character and community mean to him Randall stated, "To me character and community means you have the daily, quiet commitment to integrity, consistently showing up and doing the little things that allow you to stand up and amplify every voice," which is a commitment he's made through his work on campus during his tenure at Texas Lutheran as a positive role model across campus.
