SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team wrapped up play in the 2025 ITA Southwest Regional Championships hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday.
The Bulldogs lost all but one of their singles matches on Friday. Freshman Vincent Carney (Austin/McCallum) picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory over McMurry on Friday in the C Draw before falling in the second round.
After advancing in the Doubles A Draw on Thursday, the team of Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) fell to Trinity 8-3 in the second round on Friday. The team of Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) and Ajonte St. Ville went on a run through the B Draw picking up wins over St. Thomas (8-4) and Concordia (TX) (8-3) on Friday before picking up an 8-7 win over Hardin-Simmons on Saturday to advance to Sunday's final.
The Bulldogs dropped their lone match on the final day of ITA play as Sullins and St. Ville fell to Mary Hardin-Baylor, 8-4, in the B Draw finals Sunday morning.
The ITA regional concludes the Texas Lutheran Men's Tennis fall season. The Bulldogs will return to the court this spring.
