SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team competed in day one of the 2025 ITA Southwest Regional Championships Thursday hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
The Bulldogs dropped all four of their singles outings in straight sets in the A Draw Thursday afternoon.
Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Ajonte St. Ville picked up singles victories in the A Draw Thursday afternoon. Herrera won 6-4, 7-5 over LeTourneau and St. Ville came back to win over Howard Payne 1-6, 6-4, 10-3. Both Bulldogs would drop their second round matches.
Barrett Spaar (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) both advanced to Friday's second round in the B Draw with wins over Austin College and Hardin-Simmons respectively.
After earning All-SCAC honors in the spring, the doubles team of Cash Herrera and Eric Moninger returned to the court on Thursday with an 8-6 win over St. Thomas to advance to Friday's second round in the doubles A Draw. Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) and Ajonte St. Ville beat McMurry in straight sets (8-0) to advance to the second round in the B Draw on Friday.
