SEGUIN, Texas -- For the second time this season, No. 16 Texas Lutheran baseball senior first baseman Adam Peavy (Houston/Memorial) has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Hitter of the Week.

Peavy has another outstanding week for Texas Lutheran, hitting .583 with a double, a triple, a home run, and seven RBI to help TLU go 2-1 and capture its sixth SCAC series win of the season. Peavy finished a home run short of the cycle in game two vs. Schreiner, driving in three runs and followed that game with three more RBI in the series finale.

His season total now stands at 29, ranking fifth in the SCAC. Peavy drew two walks and a hit by pitch and didn't strikeout over the weekend.

On the season, Peavy is hitting a SCAC-leading .473 with five home runs, 29 RBI, 36 runs scored, 14 walks, 17 hit by pitch, and a .780 slugging percentage. Peavy ranks fifth nationally in hits (43) and his .607 on-base percentage ranks tenth in Division-III.

Texas Lutheran will return to Katt-Isbel Field for Senior Weekend as they welcome the Centenary College Gents to Seguin for a three-game series. The series opener is scheduled for 1 PM on Thursday, April 2.
