SEGUIN, Texas -- Senior guard Lauren Sansano (San Antonio/FEAST) of the Texas Lutheran women's basketball team has been named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American list as an Honorable Mention for the first time in her career, the organization announced on Thursday.

Sansano is the 298th All-America selection in TLU history and is the ninth player from the TLU women's basketball program to be named to an All-America team. Sansano's honor marks the second straight year and second time in program history TLU has had a player named a WBCA All-American, joining her former teammate Kailee Mulkey.

In 27 contests this season, Sansano led Texas Lutheran in scoring 11 times and averaged a career-best 14.6 points per game, the best on the team. The senior guard averaged 5.2 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.3 steals throughout the 2025-26 season. She scored in double figures in 21 of her 27 outings including seven 20-plus games, including the first 20-point triple-double in program history. Nationally, Sansano finished 7th in free throw percentage (88.8) and 28th in assists (121). Here 393 points were the third most by a SCAC player this season.

Sansano was named to the All-SCAC First Team for the second time in her career along with earning D3hoops.com All-Region Second Team honors.

Sansano concludes her career as Texas Lutheran's seventh all-time leading scorer with 1,175 points and the program's all-time leader in career free throw percentage, finishing with a career mark 87.3 percent. She also finishes second in the program's NCAA history in assists (324) and third in steals (178).
