SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Acrobatics and Tumbling continued the 2026 season with a mid-week match with the No. 5-ranked Augustana University (SD) Vikings at Memorial Gymnasium. The Bulldogs would drop the meet to the Vikings with the Bulldogs (0-4) earning a total score of 108.350, a new season-high, and the Vikings (5-0) earning a total score of 269.050.
Texas Lutheran matched their season-high of 17.80 in the compulsory, including a 4.050 in acro, 7.10 in pyramid, and 6.65 in toss out of the highest possible value of 10. Augustana outscored the Bulldogs in the compulsory, earning a 37.55 total score.
After the acro event, TLU continued to trail the Vikings with Texas Lutheran earning a total score of 19.15 consisting of a 6.20 in the fifth element, 5.45 in the sixth element, and 7.50 in the seventh element.
Augustana continued to outpace the Bulldogs in the pyramid event, 29.50 to 24.15. The 24.15 score marks a new season-high for the Bulldogs in the event.
Leading into the half, TLU trailed the Vikings 95.80 - 61.10.
The Vikings took the toss event, with event scores being 27.40 - 22.40. Texas Lutheran earned a 7.900 in salto, 6.95 in synchronized, and 7.55 in open as the Bulldogs earned a season-high in the event.
AU also took the tumbling event, outscoring TLU 53.400 to 24.850.
Up next, Texas Lutheran concludes their season-ending homestand on Saturday, March 21, at 4 PM, as they welcome East Texas Baptist to Seguin for their final regular season meet. Texas Lutheran will recognize their lone senior Payten Campos (San Antonio/John Jay) in Senior Day festivities following the meet. The meet will be streamed on TLU+.
