SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran University placed 68 student-athletes on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Student-Athlete Fall Academic Honor Roll, the conference office announced Monday.
A total of 903 student-athletes made the list, the highest fall total in the history of the award. Since its inception in 1997, over 38,500 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference (and that the member institution participates in within the conference).
Texas Lutheran football and women's soccer both tallied double-digit honorees, with football leading the way with 24 honorees and women's soccer following closely behind with seventeen. Texas Lutheran men's soccer placed nine while volleyball tallied eight. Women's and men's cross country tallied a total of ten between the two squads.
TLU had 15 SCAC All-Conference honorees from 2025 that also picked up Academic Honor Roll recognition this year. SCAC Newcomer of the Year Reece Deitrick, All-Region Honorees Alex Hart, Noelani Ajel, Klarissa Martinez, and Callie Brame headline the illustrious group that were named to the Academic Honor Roll and SCAC All-Conference teams.
