SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran University is once again taking part in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) "Change for the Better" Campaign.

Approved by the SCAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2015, the "Change for the Better" contest allows each member institution to collect as much change as possible from fans, parents and students in support of a chosen charity over the course of a predetermined period of time during the conference basketball season.

This year's recipient is Texas Parasport.

At Texas Parasport, their mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through the thrill of parasports. Their goal is simple: to break barriers, fuel passion, and unleash the potential within every athlete across the Lone Star State.

Through comprehensive resources and a vibrant community, Texas Parasport provides the tools and inspiration needed to thrive in the world of adaptive sports. Texas Lutheran has been proud to host Texas Parasport at their yearly spring track and field meet at Bulldog Stadium.

The Texas Lutheran University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be taking donations at both men and women's basketball games this week. TLU athletics is proud to support Texas Parasport and their community service efforts.
