TUNICA, MS -- The Texas Lutheran men's golf team sits in fourth place after 36 holes at the Rhodes Fall Classic at the Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Mississippi.
The Bulldogs shot a team score of 597Â (+21) through 36 holes. Transylvania currently sits in first place with a team score of 579Â (+3).
Senior Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) leads the lineup thus far at one-under through two rounds. Miller started one-over in the first round before following with a two-under score in his second round to sit in a tie for fifth place. Miller trails by three strokes entering Monday's final round. Jeffrey Janik (Harlingen/Harlingen School of Health Professions), who was in the top ten after a one-under opening round, slid to 13th after a five-over second round, finishing the day four-over after 36 holes.
Octavio Cantu (Mission/Sharyland) and Shea Eason (Round Rock/Round Rock), who is playing in the tournament as an individual, are tied for 20th place with a 36-hole score of six-over (150). Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston), who is also playing as an individual, is two strokes behind in a tie for 31st.
