WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas -- After a multi-hour rain delay, the Texas Lutheran men's golf finished in second place with an eight-over 728 (292-295-141) at the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championship Tournament at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas with a shortened, nine-hole final round on Tuesday.
Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) and
Van Miller (Katy/Seven Lakes) both finished in the top ten as individuals to earn All-SCAC honors.
Texas Lutheran earns multiple All-SCAC honorees for the first time since 2022 when
Tobey Wills and Chase Maus earned All-SCAC honors. The second place finish is the highest team finish for TLU at the SCAC Championships since 2021's runner-up finish at Vaaler Creek in Blanco, Texas.
The team was ranked second in most birdies (31) and had the third lowest par-3 scoring average.
Cooper Hollomon shot one-under on Tuesday to finish tied for second and one stoke behind tournament champion Oliver Naumann (-2) from Hendrix. Hollomon finished the tournament one-under over 45 holes to earn All-SCAC First Team honors.
Van Miller joined Hollomon in the top ten, tying for seventh at one-over par for the tournament. The senior earned All-SCAC Second Team honors for his performance.
Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday, tying for the third best round of the day at two-under, to climb 23 spots on the leaderboard to finish eight-over par and tied for 23rd.
Octavio Cantu (Mission/Sharyland) finished a stroke behind to finish tied for 25th.
Shea Eason (Round Rock/Round Rock) matched his opening round performance by shooting an even par score of 72 in the tournament's final round to finish 37th at 12-over par.
No. 14 LeTourneau won the conference in their first year in the SCAC shooting four-under as a team.
