Trio of Bulldogs Earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region

SEGUIN, Texas -- Highlighted by two members selected to the second team, three Bulldogs earned All-West Region (Region X) honors Tuesday the United Soccer Coaches announced.

Midfielder Noelani Ajel (Cibolo/Steele) and forward Klarissa Martinez (Houston/Incarnate Word Academy) were selected to the second team.

A native of Cibolo and the 2025 SCAC Defensive Player of the Year, Ajel earned All-Region honors for the first time in her career. The first Defensive Player of the Year in program history, Ajel was a First Team All-SCAC selection. The Cibolo native started and played in 18 games, leading the Bulldogs to a conference-best nine shutouts and allowed the fewest goals in a season in program history (11) with a program record of 0.61 goals against average. Under her leadership, TLU allowed an average of 10.2 shots per game.

Martinez earned All-Region honors for the second time in her career after earning Third Team honors in 2023. The Houston native was named 2025 SCAC Offensive Player of the Year for her record breaking season.

The all-time leader in assists in program history, and and the only player in program history with double-digit assist seasons, Martinez earned First Team All-SCAC honors for the second time in her career to finish her career as a four-time All-SCAC honoree. This season Martinez scored six goals and had a program record 11 assists in 18 games.

TLU's third and final honoree was senior forward Callie Brame (San Antonio/Churchill) who earned Third Team All-Region honors.

Brame, who shined in her senior season, broke out scoring five times en route to earning First Team All-SCAC honors for the first time in her career.

In addition to scoring six times, Brame added ten assists in 2025, helping the Bulldogs score 44 goals this season. Brame ends her three-year career with the Bulldogs second all-time in career assists.

The three honorees are the most in a single-season in program history.

The Bulldogs closed a successful season in 2025, winning double-digit matches for the third time in four seasons. The Bulldogs went 9-0-1 in SCAC play to win the first SCAC regular season championship in program history. Texas Lutheran also had the first undefeated home season in program history, finishing 5-0-1 at Gustafson Field.
