PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran women's cross country team earned its fifth Top 3 team finish at the SCAC Championships since joining the conference in 2013, with the Bulldogs earning SCAC runner-up for the first time in program history with Mackenzie Combs (New Braunfels/Canyon) becoming just the third runner in women's cross country history to earn All-SCAC honors.

Combs led the Bulldogs with a sixth place finish in 22:55.76. Combs's sixth place finish is the highest in program history and her 22:55.76 finish time is the fastest for the Bulldogs since joining the SCAC and second only to Keelin Treacy's 22:55.4 in 2012's ASC Championship time in a conference championship meet. Audrey Malbrough (Selma/Veterans Memorial) and Aliyah Fonseca (Harlingen/Harlingen), who played in last night's women's soccer win over Concordia in Round Rock, joined Combs in the top 25 finishing 21st and 25th respectively in the 85-runner field. Malbrough's time of 24:16.8 is a new personal-best and moved her into TLU's Top 15 all-time personal best times.

Hope Dominguez (36th) (Alpine/Alpine) and Kaylen Serrano (50th) (Sinton/Sinton) rounded out the top five for the Bulldogs.

Texas Lutheran will travel to California for the second time in three seasons as they will travel to Claremont, CA, to compete at the 2025 NCAA West Regional Championships hosted by Pomona-Pitzer College on Nov. 15.
