ABILENE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened the 2025 Abilene Intercollegiate hosted by Hardin-Simmons University at the Live Oak Golf Club in Abilene on Monday.

Texas Lutheran only has three golfers participating in the tournament and will not configure in the team standings.

Sophomore Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport), fresh off being named SCAC Golfer of the Week, paced the Bulldogs shooting eight-over (79), finishing in a tie for third place through the opening 18 holes. Asbury trails by two strokes.

Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) entered the clubhouse tied for 20th place at 14-over par while Lillian Niemeyer (Conroe/Conroe) is in 32nd after an opening round score of 89 (+18).

The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 8 AM.
