PORTLAND, OR -- Texas Lutheran men's and women's cross country look to punch their tickets to the NCAA Championships as they travel to Portland, Oregon, for the NCAA West Regional Championships.

The Bulldog men and women competed in the 2024 SCAC Cross Country Championships, hosted at South Bossier Park in Bossier City, Louisiana. Both the men's and women's cross country teams finished sixth. Angel Miguel Hernandez (Luling/Luling) led the Bulldogs with a 27th place finish in the men's race while Audrey Malbrough (Selma/Veterans Memorial) led the Bulldogs with a 40th place finish in the women's race.

About the NCAA Regional

The winning team on each side will automatically qualify as one of the 10 automatic qualifiers for the NCAA Division-III National Championship meet. 32 teams per gender will be selected for the championships, with 22 earning at-large bids. The championship race will be at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday, Nov. 23.
