GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball went undefeated at the 2026 Southwestern Invitational, sweeping Linfield, 26-24, 25-14, 25-19, at the Robertson Center on the campus of Southwestern University in Georgetown.
Junior
Zaria Solis (Burnet/Burnet) led the Bulldogs with eight kills and two blocks.
Ava Search (Richmond/Needville) finished with five kills and a career-high 20 digs.
Addison Gallegos (Floresville/Jourdanton) tallied her second double-double of the tournament with a team-high ten assists and 14 digs.
The Bulldogs trailed for a majority of the first set with the Wildcats carrying an 18-11 lead late in the set before the Bulldogs came alive to tie the set 20-all. The Bulldogs outlasted the Wildcats as late errors came back to cost them and give the Bulldogs a 26-24 win in the opening set. The Wildcats finished with nine errors to the Bulldogs seven, proving to be the difference.
The Wildcats woes continued in the second set, hitting just .027 to the Bulldogs .250 in the second set as TLU rolled in the second set 25-14.
It was all Texas Lutheran in the final set. After a few early ties at the onset of the set, TLU pulled away to complete the sweep with Solis recording three kills and a block in the final set.

Ava Search was named Tournament Co-MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament Team by
Zaria Solis and
Kieryn Adams (Schulenburg/Schulenburg).
The Bulldogs will look to ride this weekend's momentum as they return to Seguin for its home opener against Mary Hardin-Baylor on Thursday, Sept. 17. First serve from Memorial Gymnasium is set for 6 p.m. The match will be broadcast on FloCollege.
