GEORGETOWN, Texas -- For the second straight match, Texas Lutheran Volleyball rallied after dropping the first set to beat George Fox to start their tenure in the 2026 SU Invitational 2-0, 20-25, 25-11, 25-17, 25-21, Friday evening at the Robertson Center on the campus of Southwestern University.
The Bulldogs improved to 5-2 on the season and will face Linfield on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1:15 PM. The match will be streamed on FloCollege. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
Zaria Solis (Burnet/Burnet) led Texas Lutheran with 11 kills and added a team-high five blocks.
Nadia Dunn finished with nine kills and six digs.
Ava Search (Richmond/Needville) finished with five kills, 12 digs, and two aces.
Addison Gallegos (Floresville/Jourdanton) dished out 16 assists and added nine digs.
Kieryn Adams (Schulenburg/Schulenburg) finished with 21 digs and added four assists.
George Fox took the first set for a 25-20 win. The Bulldogs committed seven attack errors and hit .097 in the first set.
Texas Lutheran bounced back in a big way in the second set, cruising to a comfortable 25-11 win to even the match at one set apiece.
The Bulldogs grabbed the lead with a 25-17 third set win, behind five kills by Solis.
TLU put the match away with a 25-21 fourth set win with Dunn finishing with four kills and Solis had three blocks in the final set.
