SUWANEE, GA -- Nine Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference programs were recognized by the league as Spring 2026 Sportsmanship Teams in their respective sports. In that balloting, the Texas Lutheran women's golf and tennis teams took home Team Sportsmanship honors for the Spring 2026 season.

The SCAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee instituted the award prior to the 2016-17 academic year in an effort to honor the team that best portrays good sportsmanship and fair play from the players and coaches during the season. The spring awards are presented in baseball, men's and women's golf, softball, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.

After finishing third last year, Texas Lutheran women;s golf earns the honor for the first time in program history.

After winning the honor for the first time in program history last season, the TLU women's tennis team has earned the honor in back-to-back seasons - sharing the honors with Austin College in both instances.

Men's Golf: Concordia University (Texas)
Women's Golf: Texas Lutheran University
Softball: Concordia University (Texas)
Men's Tennis: Colorado College
Women's Tennis: Austin College, Texas Lutheran University
Men's Track & Field: McMurry University
Women's Track & Field: Colorado College

The awards were voted on by each member institution's SAAC, with each individual group ranking the top three teams in each sport. The first place selections were awarded five points, second place earned three points and third place earned one point. Points were then totaled to select the conference's overall winner.
