15 Texas Lutheran Student-Athletes Earn SCAC Winter Academic Honor Roll Accolades

SEGUIN, Texas – Texas Lutheran University placed 15 student-athletes on the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Student-Athlete Winter Academic Honor Roll, the conference office announced Tuesday.

A total of 360 student-athletes made the list, a new SCAC Winter Academic Honor Roll Record. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference. The 360 honorees marks the most during the winter season since the league split the spring honor roll announcement into separate announcements for the winter and the spring in front of the 2015-16 academic year.

Since its inception in the fall of 1997, just over 38,800 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.

Texas Lutheran men's basketball had eight honorees while women's basketball added seven honorees to the list.

Teddy Tapken and Lauren Sansano also earned All-SCAC honors in addition to being named to the 2025-26 Academic Honor Roll with Sansano being named a WBCA All-American for the first time in her career. The entire winter list can be viewed here.
