SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran senior
Caelee Clark (Montgomery/Lake Creek) was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) for her excellent play during this past weekend's three-game series against Concordia (TX).
This is Clark's second time earning the honor this season, last earning the honors on March 23. The honor is the fifth of her career and the fourth Hitter of the Week honor for TLU this season.
Clark led the Bulldogs to a 2-1 week, picking up a critical series win over Concordia (TX).
She hit .727 (8-for-11) at the plate with a double. Clark totaled three RBI, five runs scored along with a walk and four stolen bases. Clark struck out just once on the weekend.
Clark currently leads the SCAC in batting average (.475), runs (59), hits (58), stolen bases (67), and on-base percentage (.542).
The Bulldogs will look ahead to the final weekend of the regular season, April 24-25, as they welcome Dallas to Ed Kruse Stadium as the Bulldogs continue to fight for their 12th straight SCAC regular season championship. The series opens with a doubleheader at 4 & 6 PM on Friday, April 24 with the games being streamed on FloCollege. Friday will act as Senior Day as the Bulldogs honor their seven-member senior class.
