ALPINE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's tennis earned a 7-0 victory over Division-II opponent, Sul Ross State, Friday evening in Alpine.
Texas Lutheran improves to 2-2 on the season while Sul Ross falls to 0-1.
The teams of freshmen Isabella Hill (Pearland/Pearland) and Farah Standley (Pleasanton/Pleasanton)Â and freshmen Isabella Barber and Adison Ortega (San Antonio/Smithson Valley)Â got the Bulldogs rolling, winning their doubles matches by scores of 6-3 and 6-2 respectively.
The Bulldogs trio of Standley, Barber, an Cassandra Benavides (San Antonio/Smithson Valley)Â all won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0 while upperclassmen Lindsay Beville (New Braunfels/Canyon) and Lucero Alvarado (San Antonio/Southwest) completed the sweep with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 flight.
The two teams will face off again in Alpine Saturday morning at 9 AM.
