SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran men's tennis team picked up their first SCAC conference win of the season with a resounding 6-1 win over University of Dallas Friday afternoon at TLU's Ohlenbusch-Rinn Tennis Center.
TLU swept through doubles competition.
Cash Herrera (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) and Eric Moninger (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) took the No. 1 doubles match with a 6-2 score. The team of Ajonte St. Ville (St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda/AESA Prep International (TX)) and Kadon Sullins (Kyle/Lehman) won their match 6-3 while the team of Logan Randall (Idalou/Idalou) and Barrett Spaar (Spring Branch/Smithson Valley) won 7-5.
The Bulldogs would win five of six singles matches on Saturday. It took freshman Ajonte St. Ville three sets to win in No. 2 singles, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
Herrera, Moninger, Sullins, and Spaar would all win their matches in straight sets.
Texas Lutheran will conclude their three-match homestand on Saturday, March 21 as they welcome Austin College to the ORTC to continue SCAC play. First serve is set for 11 AM.
