SEGUIN, Texas -- Senior first baseman
Adam Peavy (Houston/Memorial) of the Texas Lutheran Baseball team has received the SCAC Hitter of the Week honor after leading the Bulldogs to a sweep of St. Thomas this weekend.
Peavy's SCAC Hitter of the Week honor is the first of his career.
Peavy had a dominant weekend at the plate, going 6-for-12 with five extra base hits in total, including two home runs, eight RBIs, 15 total bases, six runs scored, four walks, and a hit by pitch while anchoring the Bulldogs sweep of the Celts. After driving in three runs in the series opener, he delivered a two-homer performance in game two. Peavy totaled a slugging percentage of 1.250 and .647 on-base percentage to lead the TLU offense, striking out just once.
The Bulldogs continue their six-game SCAC road trip next weekend as they travel to Longview to face the LeTourneau YellowJackets in a three-game series.
