SEGUIN, Texas -- #RV Texas Lutheran (7-4, 2-0 SCAC) started its 2026 slate with a 77-66 win at Memorial Gymnasium against Concordia (TX) (3-8, 0-2 SCAC) on Monday.

Davi'Yanna Jones (San Antonio/Stevens) led the Bulldogs offensively for the second straight contest, finishing with 18 points, six rebounds, two assists, and a season-high four steals. Sophomore
Noelani Ajel (Cibolo/Steele) finished with a career-high 17 points including going 7-of-8 from the free throw line.
Lauren Sansano (San Antonio/FEAST) was the final Bulldog in double figures with 15 points, six rebounds, three steals, and six assists - matching her season-high. With her six assists, Sansano moved into second all-time in the program's NCAA history with 247 in her career. Sansano only trails former TLU point guard Tara Molina (2016-21) who finished her five-year career with TLU with 359 assists.
Sarahi Jones (Los Fresnos/Los Fresnos) finished with eight points, six rebounds, and six assists - matching her career-high.
Callista Perez (San Antonio/Stevens) opened the scoring for the Bulldogs, draining a three on the Bulldogs opening possession. Sansano continued the scoring, stealing a Tornados pass for a fast break layup. After the Tornados responded with a few baskets of their own,
Davi'Yanna Jones finished a second chance layup and a
Hannah Gallegos (San Antonio/Harlan) three gave the Bulldogs a six-point lead.
Lauren Sansano led the way for TLU to end the first quarter with six points, four rebounds, and two assists.
TLU started the second quarter strong and would shoot 57-percent for the period as they added six points to their lead to carry a 38-25 lead into halftime. Ajel led the Bulldogs through the second quarter on both ends of the floor, finishing with eight points in the period.
Davi'Yanna Jones took over in the third, scoring ten points and grabbing three rebounds. The Bulldogs lead would balloon to as many as 20 points in the third quarter.
Texas Lutheran took their largest lead of the night (23 points) early in the fourth quarter before head coach
Troy Patterson began clearing the bench. Ajel helped put the game away with nine points, including a perfect 6-of-6 from the line in the fourth. Concordia would make a late run over the last two minutes but the TLU lead never shrunk to single digits as TLU secured the wire-to-wire victory for their sixth double-digit victory of the season.
The Bulldogs continue their five-game SCAC home stand on Friday, January 9 against Ozarks (AR) at Memorial Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 7:30 PM. The game will be streamed on FloCollege. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
