BATESVILLE, AR -- The Texas Lutheran's men's golf team shot a combined 304 (+16) during its first round at the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational hosted by Lyon College at the Course at Eagle Mountain in Batesville, Arkansas, on Monday as they sit in a tie for third place heading into day two of the tournament.
Mississippi University for Women and Lyon sit in a tie for first place in the team race with a two stroke lead over the Bulldogs at 14-over 302.
Texas Lutheran sophomore Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston), who is playing in the tournament as an individual, leads the tournament at four-under (68), wrapping his opening round with four birdies and no bogeys. Fellow sophomore Cooper Hollomon (Bellville/Bellville) joined Munson in the top five, trailing him by five strokes at one-over (73) to sit in fourth place.
Octavio Cantu (Mission/Sharyland), Shea Eason (Round Rock/Round Rock), and Tyler Givilancz (Schertz/Clemens) are all tied for 17th, finishing the first round at five-over (77).
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow morning at the Course at Eagle Mountain. Live stats will be available here.
