SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran sophomore
Brandon Munson (Livingston/Livingston) has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Co-Golfer of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday. This marks Munson's first career weekly SCAC honor, and he shared the accolade with Noah Summers from LeTourneau.
Munson was honored for his performance in winning the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational. It marked the first career title for the sophomore.
The Livingston, Texas, would have to win a playoff round against Lyon's Ryan Kriz to win the tournament. The duo both penciled in scores of two-under 142. Munson would birdie three times on the back nine to make up for two double bogeys to hold on to the top spot on the leaderboard.
The effort by Munson was the catalyst for the Bulldogs claiming second place at the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational.
Munson and Texas Lutheran return to the course Oct. 6-7 at the Carla Spenkoch Invitational hosted by Trinity University at The Quarry Golf Club in San Antonio.
